What peckaboo.com keeps
This page says what peckaboo.com reads from your servers and how long it keeps it. The privacy policy says who processes the data and on which legal basis.
What is read from a server
- Tier 1: whether the server answers, its health check, and its version.
- Tier 2: in addition, every series its metrics endpoint reports. Their labels carry the names of your repositories, branches, workflows and steps, and the server reports counts such as those of its repositories, users and runs.
peckaboo.com reads no code, no logs and no secrets: the metrics endpoint hands out none of them.
The metrics token
The token is stored encrypted and never shown again once it is saved. The export of a workspace leaves it out.
How long it is kept
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| the values of the metrics, each kept only when it changed | 90 days |
| the daily values of each instance and each repository | without end |
| when an instance answered and when it did not | 90 days |
| alerts, from the moment they ended | 90 days |
| the restarts of a server | 90 days |
| an alert in the bell | 90 days after it was read, 13 months while it is not |
A series the server has not reported for 90 days goes with its values.
What is deleted when
- An instance you remove is gone at once for every screen and every poll, and its history is deleted in the background, its alerts in the bell of every recipient with it.
- A workspace an owner deletes takes no change from then on, and its owners get a mail with a link to an export of its data. For 30 days an owner can restore it, and after that it is deleted for good, with all its instances and their alerts in the bell.
- An account that is the last owner of a workspace with other members can be deleted once another member is an owner. A workspace whose only member is the account goes with it.
